FUT-GAR KUNG-FU & TRADITIONAL YANG TAI-CHI

Shaolin Fut Gar Gung-Fu Grand Master Wing Koi Young

This website profiles my Kung-Fu and Tai Chi Grand Masters. Kung-Fu being the late Grand Master Wing Koi Young (Peter Young). Tai-Chi being the lats Grand Master Phillip Kwong (AKA Philipe Kwong or Philip Fong). I would also like to acknowledge the late Master Bill Young and Frank Devlin. Grant Master Wing Koi Young and Master Bill Young were very good friends and belonged to the same club - The Wellington Chinese Martial Arts Assn. The Club is said to be New Zealand's first Chinese martial arts club; in fact the first lesson started at the side of Grand Master Wing Koi Young's fruit shop in Moxham Ave Hataitai, PC Young Fruiterers. I have it on good authority from the late Stan Chun, that Bill always deferred to Peter and called him Dai Sifu, which basically translates as Grand Master. Special thanks to Stan for providing many of the early day photos of the Chinese Martial Arts Assn and Wing Koi Young.

In memory of my master (sifu) and dear friend who lived a wonderful life to 90 years (3 Nov 1925 - 29 Oct 2015) R.I.P.
