Class Times & Hall Use
Tai Chi and Kung-Fu
Taichi and Kungfu classes will both be on a Thursday evening, with Taichi first followed by Kungfu. Please arrive
5-10 minutes early in time to change so sessions can start on time.
When: Thursday Evenings
Time: Taichi 7.30pm start / Kungfu 8.30pm start (one hour each class)
Location: Papakōwhai School Hall, 17 Spey Place, Papakōwhai, Porirua 5024
Extra Practice: Taichi students may quietly practice (unsupervised) at the back of the hall, following their class, while the Kungfu class is in progress. Likewise, Kungfu students who arrive early, may quietly practice or warm up (unsupervised) at the back of the hall, while the Taichi class is in progress.
Kitchen: There is a kitchen in the hall that we can use. Normal kitchen rules apply - bring you own tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc. Wash and dry dishes after you and take any mess home with you.
Hall Use: The School require the following rules observed - No alcohol on school property; No smoking in the hall or on school grounds; No use of any school equipment, unless prior agreement with the school; No use of the smaller room off the main hall, unless prior agreement with the school; Ceiling tiles are easily damaged or displaced by balls hitting the ceiling - ensure no objects touch the ceiling tiles; The floor is highly polished and needs to be protected - no high-heels are to be worn or objects used, in a way that could scratch, scuff or damage the floor. Kungfu students take extra care when practicing with your staff. As the club does not have any insurance cover - if you damage it you pay for it.
